Family and friends of Professor Waldo Burchard

This endowed fund has been established by family and friends to honor and to memorialize Professor Waldo W. Burchard and to create a means of support for a graduate scholarship award. Waldo was a long time faculty member in the Sociology Department at Northern Illinois University. He was the first chair when the department of Sociology and Anthropology were organized in 1961 and served in that capacity until 1968.
