Reva Jungst, Steve and Malinda Jungst, Carmen and John Fenwick, Roger and Jeanette Jungst, and Joanne and Edwin Dellert

In honors of the memory of Dale G. Jungst who taught Mathematics Education at NIU from 1959 to 1984, This scholarship will continue the significant impact that Associate Professor Emeritus Jungst made in Mathematics Education in the state of Illinois. He first taught high school math in Iowa for eight years before joining the Department of Mathematical Sciences at NIU. He also played an active role in both the National Council of Teacher of Mathematics and the Illinois Council of Teachers of Mathematics. Professor was a believer in a ‘hands-on’ approach to teaching math to children and helped establish the Math Lab at NIU. Following his retirement, Professor Jungst served as a consultant in school districts.
