Robert R. and Frances A. Green

This endowment will provide financial assistance to future generations of deserving music students. Robert and Frances Green were married in 1941. Robert served in the U.S. Navy for 26 years and served tours in the Pacific and Vietnam. Frances was a graduate of Berkeley in 1938 and often took the role of both parents as Robert was on tour for months at a time. The Navy was as much a career as it was for Robert, as it was for Frances. Their son, Bob Green, professor of music also graduated from the Naval Academy in 1965 and has been with the NIU Faculty since 1978.
