Scott McCullagh (B.S. Music Education ‘70, M.S, Educational Administration’74), was fortunate to be part of the legendary Baker’s Dozen (1947-1976), a select group of music education majors who formed a pilot program for Illinois university music curricula, The four-year program was directed by Dr. Charles Baker, Professor of Music Theory. The twelve students met for their core music theory, history, and composition courses during their entire four-year undergraduate NIU education, Some of the group’s resulting methods are still in use.
