Susan Walker

Donald Walker, a professor of piano, attended the Julliard School of Music where he earned his B.S. and M.S. degrees. He worked on TV recitals that was featured at the 1964 New York’s World Fair. Walker went on to tour with a major orchestra in the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. The term “Walker Style” was referenced to his breathtaking virtuosity. He appeared in a performance tour of major cities at the invitation of the People’s Republic of China. Mr. Walker served as Artist in Residence at Northern Illinois University from 1967 until his untimely death in 2002. He was profiled in the book The Most Wanted Piano Teachers in America.
