Fanny Ruth Patterson Scholarship

The Fanny Ruth Patterson fund will provide scholarship support for deserving students who embody the spirit of Fanny Ruth Patterson, the first black student to graduate from NIU. The preferred candidate: embodies the spirit of Fanny Ruth Patterson; has earned a minimum of 70 hours; has a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5; is active in campus activities; is of Black or African American descent. Recipients may be asked to attend events to be recognized for their award and help thank donors to Fanny Ruth Patterson Scholarship.
